And [in line with / following] the directives of the Presidency of the Northern Technical University represented by its President, Prof. Dr. Jassim Fathi Ali Al-Maadhidi, and with the follow-up of Prof. Dr. Omar Khalil Ahmed, Dean of Hawija Polytechnic College, the Women’s Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Media and Government Communication Division at the college, organized an awareness seminar titled:

“The Role of Women in Various Scientific, Educational, Social, and Developmental Fields in Society, and Highlighting Their Active Contributions”

Dr. Rania Mohammad Abdullah, Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit, lectured in it, in the presence of a number of female students of the college as the target group.

The seminar addressed: The pivotal role of women in building and developing society, and their contributions in scientific, educational, social, and developmental fields, as well as the importance of enhancing their participation in various walks of life, and highlighting their success models and their ability to innovate and achieve.

The seminar demonstrated: The importance of empowering women scientifically, culturally, and socially, supporting their capabilities and skills, and enhancing their self-confidence, alongside spreading awareness of the importance of their role in achieving sustainable development and building a balanced and advanced society.

The seminar aimed to: Enhance awareness among female students regarding the importance of the role of women in society, shed light on their active contributions in various fields, and encourage them to continue education, self-development, and positive participation in community service.

The seminar came out with the following recommendations:

1. Enhancing societal awareness of the importance of the role of women and their contributions in various fields.

2. Supporting women’s participation in scientific, educational, social, and developmental activities.

3. Encouraging female students to develop their scientific and practical capabilities and develop their leadership skills.

4. Holding more awareness seminars and workshops that contribute to empowering women and enhancing their position in society.

5. Consolidating a culture of equal opportunities and respect for women’s capabilities and their role in achieving sustainable development.

And this seminar comes within the efforts of Hawija Polytechnic College in spreading societal awareness and promoting the role of women, in a way that contributes to building a conscious generation capable of active participation in the process of development and progress.
