Vision

To achieve excellence and leadership in information technology specializing in computer networks, and to provide society with highly competent technical professionals in computer network systems, enhance their computer software capabilities, and develop their communication and interpersonal skills to contribute to a digital society under e-government.

Mission

1. Provide a high-quality academic, professional, and technical environment that graduates qualified professionals who meet labor market needs.
2. Utilize the department’s academic, material, and administrative resources to produce technical graduates with knowledge and skills in technology fields.
3. Adopt modern methods and applied technologies in computer networks and software to ensure the quality of educational outcomes.

Objectives

1. Prepare scientifically and academically qualified graduates who meet labor market requirements and digital transformation needs.
2. Encourage scientific research in theoretical and applied sciences and continuously develop curricula in line with modern knowledge and technological innovations.
3. Serve the community through continuous cooperation with governmental and non-governmental institutions, scientific consultation, and lifelong learning programs.
4. Provide Iraqi society with computer engineers capable of keeping pace with global scientific developments in computing while supporting future research and continuous curriculum improvement.

Graduate Profile

1. The department grants a Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering Technologies and Computer Software, in addition to a Technical Diploma in Network Technologies and Computer Software.
2. Graduates are eligible for positions in educational, security, service, and other public-sector institutions due to the comprehensive and modern nature of the program.
